I’ve been a photographer for almost 17 years. Although I graduated from Temple University with a degree in magazine journalism, which I used very early on in my career, until my photography hobby became a quickly growing newfound passion. I’m a primarily self-taught photographer and retoucher. I truly enjoy photographing people and telling a story. I have a very polished, high-end editorial style of photography, but can easily and seamlessly shift to more candid, photo-journalistic or commercial styles. I shot my first wedding for a high-school friend of mine. I was nervous because I hadn’t had the experience and all I knew at that time was creating images for the likes of Vogue magazine and high profile figures. I explained that if I shot their wedding it would probably look more like a high fashion editorial or something straight out of Vanity Fair, and they exclaimed that’s exactly what they wanted! After that I shot a few more weddings for friends and family and discovered I loved being able to capture these special, forever moments of their day. My favorite part of photographing a wedding are the more posed portrait shots of the bride and groom, and their wedding party and parents. It’s where I get to have more control with my creativity and really capture moments that will make everyone say, “WOW!”
