Grand Ballroom

Grand Ballroom is the main hall and the prime choice for the reception venue. As it’s already said, a thing that dominates the place is a Baccarat crystal chandelier. With six tons in weight, it is America’s biggest chandelier.

A proof of how far they’ve got is the distinctive balcony on the sides with the million-dollar view.

The total capacity is 550 people in the area of 8,600 sq ft. 

And let’s not forget a grand hardwood dance floor, fitting the room perfectly. 

King Arthur Court

King Arthur Court is the room with the story like no other. It was created back in the 1920s as a home for Medinah Men’s Athletic Club. Once a private smoking lounge transformed and evolved through time into a hypnotizing historic ballroom. The mesmerizing decor and illuminating windows are leaving the unforgettable taste in your mouth. 

It is one of the smaller spaces of this Chicago hotel, yet it can welcome up to 180 guests.

Renaissance Ballroom 

French magnificent elegance and design just got reborn with the Renaissance Room. The accent is on a luxurious setting and the rich ambiance in the room.  The location is 5th-floor providing an outstanding view to Michigan Avenue and Magnificent Mile. 

A ton of manual work was involved in creating this setting. 22-foot beams on the ceiling are painted by hand as well as the ornament wood carving. 

This is the second largest room, with 4,500 sq. ft and the maximum capacity of  250 guests.

Tower Lounge

An ideal place to organize a cocktail hour or introduction to ceremony. It is way smaller than the competitors, with 1,000 square feet and 40 guests. 

However, you don’t have an opportunity to enjoy the lounge area with a stunning view from the 32nd floor every day. 

InterContinental can be found at 505 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, Illinois. The location in downtown Chicago is good for both, locals and out-of-town guests. 

It is fairly good connected with the rest of the country. East-west transcontinental freeway I-90 is only 3 miles from the hotel. Also, when the road conditions are good, you will need less than 30 minutes to get to the O’Hare International Airport.
